I think i just saw an irresponsible officiating yesterday. Not in the NBA Finals, but in the UFC 85 Bedlam when Werdum and Vera fought. It was just 20 seconds before the round is over when the referee stopped the fight. When i was watching it, i just can’t believe my eyes what i just saw. Werdum hit vera with a flurry of pound and punches but i think i saw less than 5 punches hit Vera.
Of course i can’t help my self blaming the referee about the loss because Vera is a fellow Filipino. He is a talented fighter and i know he prepared for this fight big time. I also heard in the news that Werdum declined the rematch that Vera is asking. Such a shame Vera has to lose that way without blood and bruises in his face. Dang it.
I got an iHome iH8 last week and I am pretty impressed by it. Nice sounding little speakers with a little bass that is okay for a room. I got it not because gadget is my weakness, it is much a necessity for me. Being a couch potato, i really have a hard time waking up with just a cellphone as my alarm clock.
It’s a great accessory for my iPod and it has radio!
I just hope it would help me waking up when classes begin next week. I’d like to start my day early actually.
Today marks a historic moment of the creation of the greatest, at least for me, political tandem in history. They, Barrack Obama and Hillary R. Clinton, have made history in their own right. Obama being the first African-American person to be nominated by a prestigious political party in America, and Clinton for being the first woman to be able to compete with the presidential nomination of the party.
The exit speech of Clinton is quite uplifting for her supporters and believers with an opening line, “this is not the party that I planned, but I sure like the company..” All throughout the speech, we can find an obvious statement, an all out support for making Barrack Obama their president. All praises are for him, unlike the speech that Clinton told her supporter during the aftermath of the last two primaries. They will surely be a great duo, Obama for president and Clinton for vice-president. Too good to be true indeed. Obama being a brilliant politician and Clinton being a veteran in the public life, they would surely beat anyone on their way.
One thing’s for sure, whoever wins, the whole world would be spectating what would be the next step towards Iraq war, Climate Change and North Korea, if i may include.
HIS words are sharp like knives, very radical that can sway millions of minds and i hope it would be done properly and orderly– if given the chance of being the President of the ‘greatest nation on earth’. Obama won the Democratic presidential nomination over Hillary R. Clinton, a historic battle that broke barriers that lurks on race and gender in America. Perhaps, a momentous point in our time that race and gender is not a factor in politics.
American politics is very interesting, much this time. Black man head to head with a white old guy, who would win?
More Here.
This is a free flowing composition of my orgasmic mind.
I heard the song that i could classify as a historical account of rock music in the Philippines, or music for that matter. Although it was not that specific, it has given me this entertaining sensation that made me dig out the music of the past, OPM in particular. What is this song by the way? It is Betamax by Sandwich. I can say that it has a good lyrics, though it has no consistency. Articulating how music making and music listening in that particular time in history, it catches my attention because of the interesting names and circumstances that i actually experienced.
The music is already catchy, also is the video. It’s like a nostalgic moment for me. Reminiscing the games that i used to play when I was a kid like Patintero, Habulan, Tumbang Preso and the likes. A brilliant idea that ultimately embodies the song. This song is cool, I should say.
Going back to the song, i would like to do a dissection that would show how i became nostalgic about it.
Okay, first: the chorus
Wala pa nung myx wala pa nung MTV
Wala pa nung internet
Wala pa nung ipod at mp3
Wala pa nung cable
Wala pa nung cellphone
Wala pa ring cd or dvd
Meron lang betamax
Absolutely true. I think it was early or mid ninety’s that i learned about betamax and no other things existed in my world that was said in the chorus, though i already watched MTV at that time. The chorus pertains to the 70’s i am sure.

Sa jingle magazine
Natutong mag gitara
Sinifra ang mga kanta
Sa cassettte at plaka
Jingle magazine is my mentor, of course my brother taught me basic chords. I remember that i used to play Beatles song with a chord chart beside me. It was a collectors item Beatles songbook by Jingle. It was my tablature, my google and my only source of guitar education. Jingle rocks. I can proudly say that i was one of many people who learned to play guitar with Jingle, and it was Beatles tunes! Can you imagine a 5th grader playing Obladi-Oblada? A song that is a favorite of my Father and Grandfather, oh man, nostalgia.
Yes, i can relate to that kick ass song. I have been there. Every time i hear that, I’m giggling, Swear.
