Arnel Pineda’s journey has begun January 13, 2008

Well, as a kid born with the modern rock era, i may not be able to hear Led Zep, Van Halen, Poison and Journey. But i did. I listened to them from time to time. I liked Led Zep and Poison the most. Lets get to the game now, i saw in the broadsheets that the band Journey found its newest vocalist from having two ex’s. I have known that he is a filipino and he sound like a monster screeching those high notes from Steve Perry. He’s the Rockstar came alive. I mean, when came to watch the film rockstar, you might put Arnel into Mark Whalberg’s character Izzy. Arnel Sounds like the character too.

I’ve post a video clip if you might want to hear him. Crazy mad man we have here.

Our teacher in Spanish almost made us drop our subject before our recitation but, we still consider dropping it. January 6, 2008

Spanish subject can be very fun and can also be shaking. You can understand me if you have a three failed quizzes and your last hope is to pass, if not get a high grade, the last quiz and prelims. I and four of my friends decided that if we didn’t get a good grade in the recitation of the Padre Nuestro, we shall drop the subject whole-heartedly. It was really getting into my nerves because if i drop the subject, i would still enroll it next year and who knows if she would be the teacher come that time. Muy mal, that is agony coming into life if that would happen.

With our hopes so high it can reach the heavens, we memorized Padre Nuestro even the national anthem that we thought was included in the recitation. We are so lucky that it is assigned for the next meeting. Muy bien, we struggled for mercy as we read those lines and i actually recorded my recital for me to be able to listen to it in my iPod so it will penetrate into my head. I also had a version of the Philippine national anthem with an accompaniment of a keyboard piano installed in my laptop. I’m not playing keys but it worked for me.

The next day when i woke up, two things came into my mind. First was Spanish, the other was Resmeth. I almost forgot that we have two subjects that day. We got a quiz on the other subject, hopeful that i can pass it because it was an essay.

D-moment. We started reciting, my body is shivering as the cold breeze from the aircon passes through my jacket. I recited third to the last. My breathing slowed a bit within a minute and at last i finished. I got the highest grade possible just like my other classmates. That moment, i forgot about dropping the subject, but i also forgot that i still have two hard chances to pass this prelim period. Muy Bien.
